FINANCIAL AID: For priority consideration for financial aid at UC and CSU campus, you must submit the 2014-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) between January 1 and March 2, 2014. You can apply for financial aid after March 2nd but the amount of financial aid you receive may be limited. It is offered on a first come first serve basis. If you are a California resident, you must also submit the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form by March 2, 2014. You can apply for scholarships at any time. All scholarships have due dates. APPLICATION FOLLOW UP: Some universities will require additional information even after your application has been initial submitted, or request for you to create a Portal.(Specifically Cal States) Follow up with any requests made by the university such as transcripts, SAT score reports, or additional essays. CHECK YOUR EMAIL/PORTALS WEEKLY UC DECISIONS: If you are a fall-term freshman applicant, each campus you applied to during the filing period will notify you whether you have been admitted between March 1- 31, 2014. Offer letters informing you of your preliminary financial aid package are distributed by campus between March and May. UC INTENT TO REGISTER: Each campus that accepts you for admission will send you a Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) form. Use this form to indicate whether you accept or decline the offer of admission. You are strongly encouraged to wait until you receive a response from each campus you have applied to before you complete and return this form. Your SIR must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2014 if you are a fall-term freshman admit. SUBMITTING TRANSCRIPTS TO UCs: If you are admitted to UC for the fall term, you must arrange to have all final, official transcripts (e.g. high school, community college, university) sent to the Admissions Office no later than July 15, 2014. UC MISCELLANEOUS: 1. If you fulfill the A-G requirements make sure you apply to UC campuses, especially if you are selected as a UC Eligibility in Local Context (ELC) student (Such designation guarantees you admission to a UC campus). 2. Be sure to communicate with each UC campus if there are any changes or updates in your schedule, (Ds or Fails). 3. Visit the UC representatives in the college center and keep them informed of any changes on your application.

4. If you are not a legal resident or citizen, you may qualify for in state resident tuition at a UC. In order to qualify, you must attend a California High School for at least 3 years and graduate from such a High School.
