Mike Vang 9/04/12 Period 4

I strongly agree with Malcom Xs quote that, There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time. I believe that no one person is perfect, but one can strive towards perfection through trials and errors. For example, from personal experience when I lose a tennis match against an opponent, that defeat and loss always motivates me to practice and work even harder to improve my tennis skills. This defeat or heartbreak forces me to reflect upon my actions and mistakes to make room for more progress and improvement. Life is an unending process of learning that takes all of us down a route of ups and downs and spirals. What is even more important though, is the will to never give up because in life, we all live and learn. I also strongly agree with Malcom Xs quote that, My Alma mater was books, a good library I could spend the rest of my life reading, just satisfying my curiosity. It is human nature to be curious, even to the point of danger. The desire and excitement to learn something new has always existed. Reading creates curiosity, the stimulating desire to learn, and this desire is especially strong because desires are illusions and your attachments to them. Reading opens up a whole new world of imagination that allows people to escape reality and take part in adventures. When reading, the minds imagination can create especially strong illusions that increase the levels of curiosity exponentially. It would be wise to have no desire, to seek nothing, but that is certainly psychologically impossible to the extent of extreme peculiar behavior. The unending thirst of the mind will never be quenched by any amount of knowledge.
