    Pehla Kadam is a small effort by Community Human Welfare Organization (CHWO) and IIM Calcutta Students, where underprivileged

    children from Joka and nearby regions are treated with a day of fun and entertainment through various interactions and cultural performances. Through Pehla Kadam, we introduce the children to the world of dance and music, to plays and mimes; and to give the children a stage to perform They will win the hearts of one and all with the spectacular performances. Though it is the simplest of things that we could do, it would be a day of great fun and joy for them. In future as we become the leaders of industry we should remember to help those who are less fortunate. Even a small gesture from our part makes a huge difference for them.

    The tentative schedule for the event is as follows:


    6.30 7.30 AM Picking up children from Kalagachhi and Behala 7.30-8.00 AM - Children arrive on campus 8.00-8.30 AM Director/Professor Speech 8.30 -11.00 AM - Children Performances 11.00 12.00 - Art Event 12.00 1.00 PM - Lunch Distribution 1.00-1.30 PM - Gift Distribution
