Mediterranean Basin
NEW CFC PAGE ON THE 2013 KENYA ELECTIONS

On 04 March 2013, general elections will be held in Kenya. The last elections, held in December 2007, were followed by post-election violence that killed over 1,100 people, injured 3,500 and displaced 600,000. Accordingly, the Civil-Military Fusion Centre (CFC) is pleased to launch a new page focused upon the 2013 Kenya Elections at its CimicWeb portal. The page will feature open-source information, including research and media reports, from relevant organisations and think tanks alongside a chronological listing of documents from past events. Find the 2013 Kenya Elections page at: https://www.cimicweb.org/cmo/medbasin/Pages/Kenya_Election.aspx If you are new to the CFC and to the CimicWeb portal, we strongly encourage you to go to www.cimicweb.org and click the Sign-up button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. Or send us an e-mail with your name, title/position and organisational affiliation to Med.Basin@cimicweb.org. While we strive to make as much of our information publicly available, the CFC's full range of products and services including our Request for Information (RFI) function is accessible only to accountholders. Hence, you are strongly encouraged to sign up. If you have any question about this website or about the work of the CFC related to North Africa, Northeast Africa or the Horn of Africa, contact the Mediterranean Basin Team at trista.guertin@cimicweb.org or +1 757 683 4323.
