Crisostomo Ibarra symbolizes some of the Filipinos today


who still practice the values of nationalism and patriotism. They are the persons who still believe that our country can still conquer all the problems that we are facing today. They are the ones who still keep their Philippine pride and consider the Philippines as their national treasure.

Padre Damaso represents the ones who abuse their given powers for their own
goods and pleasures. Perfect examples of these people are those politicians who only think about themselves instead of the betterment of our community. Padre Damaso may also be interrelated with the persons who discriminate others because of their power and might.

Pilosopo Tasyo denotes the Filipinos who never had the


chance to show their true capabilities. Those are entitled as someone who had the untapped potential to be a source of pride for us Filipinos.

Elias embodies the Filipino masses who suffers great amount of


discrimination. These Filipinos also have the quality to never give up and keep on fighting for what is right. They are the ones who stand their grounds in order to pursue their ambitions in life.

Kapitan Tiago signifies the authorities who stick to persons with greater power
in order to keep their commands. They will follow their leaders even if the consequences will be unbearable. These persons are the politicians who would do anything just to win their desired position.
