Introduction: Dear Parents, We welcome you through the very first news letter of Al-Ilm Academy Secondary School.

Parents involvement boosts the moral of children and teachers. We strive to facilitate our students to develop a desire for knowledge, self confidence and sense of responsibility. This is one top most providing to develop students, thinking skill and creativity. Co-curricular activities: Eid Milan Party: To add colour to the Eid celebrations, Eid Milan Party was organized at school. The students came in colorful eid dress and enjoyed the day. Iqbal Day: Iqbal Day was celebrated in November. On this occasion thought provoking speeches were delivered and talented students promoted patriotism and nationalism by reciting Iqbals poems. Participation in Kids Expo 2012: The students of class VII were involved in Hajj project. This was displayed in Karachi Expo centre in December. Unfortunately the students could not visit due to unfavorable condition of Karachi, but their outstanding work was greatly appreciated by the visitors and only the selected projects were displayed on their website. Spelling Competition: Spelling competition was held among the students of each class to develop their reading and writing skills. Field Trip: Fun and amusement is very essential for the healthy mind. For this purpose in April 2012 students were taken to the Samzoo water park where they enjoyed a lot and the day became memorable for them. Parent- Teaching Meeting: Parent Teachers meetings were held in the month of May and September 2012. Parents turned up in large numbers to discuss their childrens progress and exchange opinions. From the Principals Desk: The four hardest tasks on Earth are neither physical nor intellectual facts, but they are spiritual ones. 1. To return love for hate. 2. To include the people who exclude you 3. To forgive others without their apology 4. To be able to say I was wrong, when actually you are not. Seeing is believing: Under Pakistan Urban Pediatric Eye Care Programme the teachers of Al-Ilm Academy School were given training in December 2012 to examine the eye sight in the class in order to protect them from any complication in future. For this purpose the students having such abnormality were examined by the eye consultants.
