This is the tagline of the 2000 movie, Battle Royale, adapted from the novel of the same name. Authored by Koushun Takami its irresistible premise made quite a controversy. It proceeded to become a runaway bestseller in Japan, and created a cult following among fans around the world. Pitted in a Battle Royale against each other, students from a randomly selected high school class would have to fight it out to get out of the island theyre in. Only one should prevail.
