Still Hand Scaling?

Its Time to Switch to BioSonic S1

Ultrasonic scaling is up to 34% faster than hand scaling, providing economical savings Ultrasonic scaling results in less tooth surface and root substance loss, creating a cleaner, smoother surface Biofilm removed and unhealthy bacteria eliminated more effectively with piezo ultrasonic cavitation 3 digital pre-set options provide versatility for General Scaling, Periodontic and Endodontic procedures

Why Choose Piezo Ultrasonic Scaling Over Hand Scaling?

Superior results in less time than hand scaling alone Excellent value by providing a complete package for General Scaling, Periodontic and Endodontic procedures Many tips to select from, all the choices you need at your fingertips Six tips are included with the unit

Piezoelectric Scaling Versus Hand Scaling

Piezo scaling is up to 34% faster than hand scaling due to the Piezoelectric Movement.

Incurs less root surface loss and tooth substance removed than with hand scaling, resulting in a cleaner, smoother root surface.

Piezoelectric Cavitational Effect

Ultrasonic scaling cavitational effect: effectively and efficiently removes hard deposits and subgingival biofilm, while providing superiority to hand scaling over severe to moderate furcations.

Ultrasonic Tips Versus Hand Scaling Tips

Ultrasonic tips are slimmer than hand scaling tips, allowing access in furcation entrances as narrow as 0.63 mm wide. Hand scaling Gracey Curettes Tip used on hand scalers is 0.76 mm, limiting hand scaling on more than half of maxillary and mandibular first molars.

General Scaling Procedures

Essential for use in removing supragingival, heavy and interdental calculus. When using the BioSonic S1 Piezo Ultrasonic Scaler, high frequency waves generated within the handpiece cause the tip to vibrate at 28,000 cycles per second, significantly helping remove calculus while eliminating unhealthy biofilm from the tooth surface. Four General Scaling tips included with the unit.

Periodontic Procedures
Essential for use in removing subgingival calculus. Using the BioSonic S1 Piezo Ultrasonic Scaler is an important part of controlling Periodontal Disease, as it helps remove inflammation causing agents, keeping the periodontium free from disease. Periodontic scaling procedures remove plaque, calculus and stain from root surfaces of the teeth. One Perio tip included with the unit.

Endodontic Procedures
Essential for use in root canal cleaning. During the cleaning process, the BioSonic S1 Piezo Ultrasonic Scaler produces cavitation, which effectively removes dentin pieces and dissolves endo organic substances with a bactericidal effect. This cavitation also helps improve the ability to clean in the narrow, flexural endodontic areas. One Endo tip and four NiTi U-Files are included with the unit.

Additional Features:
Digitally controlled, automatic frequency tracking ensures unit will consistently work at the best frequency Reusable metal filter traps debris from entering unit, allowing efficient water flow Handpiece is cast from Titanium alloy making it extremely durable and autoclavable-ready
