Experimental

The materials that were used are the Bradford reagent, BSA standard the BSA unknown solution, graduated cylinder, and test tubes. A set of standards containing 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 ,0.8 and 1mL of BSA stock solution were prepared in test tubes. Also, a reagent blank consisting of 1.0 mL of distilled water with 5.0 mL of Bradford reagent was prepared. Distilled water was added to each test tube to bring the volume to 1mL. For the unknown protein solutions labeled 9 and 10, for the test tube labeled 9, 0.1 was used and for the test tube labeled 10, 0.2 was used then distilled water was added to bring the volume to 1mL. A spectrophometer was used. The reading was put into zero using the reagent blank. The absorbance was read at 595 nm after a few minutes.
