Transfer and Removal Costs

Is this your first teaching appointment? Are you moving out of town? Is it permanent or fixed term for at least a year? You can claim costs!

Its best to apply before you move, but if you keep receipts you can also claim after Covers travel expenses, moving expenses, accommodation grant, uniform grant, telephone reconnection charges. Fill in TR1 form for this.

For decile 1 or 2 school with a priority staffing status. Eligible? Full time, or fixed term for at least 2 terms $1000 per year for PRTs Can apply for removal costs as well No forms for this one, if your school is a Priority Staffing School, this should happen automatically.

Maori Immersion Teacher Allowance

An allowance for a teacher, or primary or area school principal who teaches students at Mori immersion levels 1, 2 or 3 This is paid at the rate of one unit: $4000 per year
