    The American civil war had a big impact, because so many people were getting injuries, infections and diseases the doctors worked harder making more efficient cures quicker.

    Medicine today has revolutionized by a lot. Due to people not looking after their health even more diseases have come up now.

    My conclusion - Evidence
    Conclusion: The methods of curing diseases and healing have improved dramatically. There is also a higher life expectancy for people nowadays. Evidence: Life expectancy in the 1800s was less than 50. Now, 200 years later it is 80-85.
