    Several newspapers have mistakenly published false and defamatory misinformation about Mr. Nadhmi Auchi and his companies General Mediterranean Holdings and CIPAF. When confronted with by his lawyers, they have each retracted and apologized. The FALSE claims include allegations of arms dealing, oil-for-food involvement, ties with Saddam Hussein and other serious allegations made by nefarious political actors that aim to use Mr. Auchi to further their NeoCon agendas.

    ELAPH APOLOGY TO MR NADHMI AUCHI On 2 September 2008, we published an article on our website which quoted an article previously published

    in a British newspaper which contained allegations that were false and defamatory of Mr Auchi. We understand that repeating these allegations caused Mr Auchi distress and embarrassment. We now accept that the allegations were untrue and should never have been published and we have undertaken not to republish them, or similar allegations, again. We have also agreed to pay Mr Auchi a sum in damages and his reasonable legal costs. With our sincerest apology to Mr Auchi for any distress caused.
