Great art for everyone

Three things I wish Id known when I started PR

1. Good PR skills may come with time, but good planning and team work helps along the way

Case study: regional press for London 2012 Cultural Olympiad

4-year nationwide programme of the UK's best arts and culture running alongside the Games. Arts Council England was a principal funder of the Cultural Olympiad and, its culmination, the London 2012 Festival. With more than 10 million free opportunities to get involved, it was the largest cultural celebration in the history of the Olympic and Paralympic movements.

2. Take Time to Be Social

Have a mentor or a work buddy, join a network (or set one up), go see shows, and be online

3. Journalists are just people too - in other words, busy. So it helps them to phone in advance, stay in touch and make their job easier for them. Be persistent in other words.
