A big THANK YOU for all of the help, candy, flowers, and cards I received for Valentines Day! Thank you for helping us out with our 100th Day fun as well. Youre the best! March is Reading Month and wed love to hear from YOU! If youd like to come in and read to us sometime in the month of March, let me know! It can be a book of your choice, or one youd like to borrow from me. You can dress up along with the book, or quickly fit us in on your lunch break. Just come and share your love of literacy with Camp Cronce and celebrate March is Reading Month! Your children will be reading to us as well. We will be publishing one of our writing pieces into a Bare Book. We will go through the steps of the writing process and put our edited draft into the book to read. Afterward, it will come home as a keepsake for you as a reminder of your childs first grade days! (If you need help with the $3 cost of the book, let me know and I will see that its provided.) The local March of Dimes chapter will be coming out to talk to us next week about raising money for babies born from a premature birth. You will need to return the reply card to class (no postage necessary) to enter your child. The March of Dimes will return in May during a school assembly to award top readers as well as top money-earners. MEDALS WILL BE GIVEN! Watch for more info! Scootpad- I hope you and your children are enjoying Scootpad. I have reviewed the content of the program and would have to send home mulitple dittos at night in order to match what is covered on their site. The content is also Common Core-based, so you can be assured the homework your children are doing is tailored to the most current requirements implemented by our district. In addition, standardized testing is now being done on computer, so Scootpad will give your children an advantage over non-keyboarders. I am so pleased with the positive response from the children regarding Scootpad and also with the scores Ive been seeing. Yea! Keep it up!

Looking forward to the week ahead, Mrs. Cronce www.protopage.com/mrscronce
