Grade 4 Overview
Sunday 24/02/2013 Thursday 28/02/ 2013.
This week we will be continuing our imaginary stories and trying to
imagine a day without electricity. As stated last week, we are
looking for basic writing skills, and full sentences.
READ have your child read for at least 15 minutes a night with
you and make sure you ask them questions about the story.
This week we will be reviewing unit 6. Revision packs have been
sent home and we encourage all students to work through these.
We will be having Unit 6 test on Wednesday, remember it will be
on division, measuring and identifying angles(acute, right, obtuse,
reflex) and marking points on a gird using coordinates

Unit of Inquiry

Central idea: Inventors utilize energy in the development of technologies


that meet the needs of a society.
Lines of inquiry:
-The needs of a society
-Inventors that have impacted society
-How inventors utilize resources to meet a societies needs
This week we will be investigating the push and pull forces that exist all
around us. In class we will be looking how and why object either stay
where they are, or move in their environment.
