) DEVISING A PLAN

Find

possible strategies to solve the problem. Choose the suitable strategy. Use list down strategy as the one of the strategy.

C)

CARRYING OUT THE PLAN

D) LOOKING BACK

Check the solution steps and final answer Obtain the solution using other strategies, such as using guess and error or construct a table.

PROBLEM SOLVING STRATEGY 2

PROCESS

CONSTRUCT A TABLE

B)

DEVISING A PLAN

Find

possible strategies to solve the problem. Choose the suitable strategy. Construct a table as second strategy to solve the problem.

C)

CARRYING OUT THE PLAN

Mothers 1st Name Linda Elaine Last Name Smith Walker Childs 1st Name Mary Ann Location of Lost Child Teacups Flume

Fathers 1st Name Al Bill

George
Michael

Sally
Jane

Jackson

Tom

Charming John

Steward

Michelle

Bartlett

Susie

Ferris Wheel Roller Coaster Carrousel

D) LOOKING BACK

Check the solution steps and final answer Obtain the solution using other strategies, such as using guess and error or list down strategy.

COMPARISION

We chose the first strategy, listing down strategy. This is because the strategy is more effective than second strategy. It is more easier and we can simplify it. Using the everyone name is more clearly to solve the problem. When we listing down everyone name, we can identify whom their family members.

EXTENSIONS
Six people are standing in a single row. They are waiting to buy movie tickets in front of the theatre. Two persons are standing between Ali and Aiman and between Remy and Ahmad. Ahmad is in front of the line. Jimmy is standing next to Aiman Din is not standing next to Ahmad. One person is standing between Din and Remy.

SOLUTION 1-TRY AN ERROR

1st try
Ali Aiman Jimmy Din Ahmad Remy

X
AHMAD IS IN FRONT OF THE LINE

2nd try..
Ahmad Aiman Din Jimmy Ali Remy

X
JIMMY IS STANDING NEXT TO AIMAN

3rd try..
Ahmad Aiman Jimmy Din Ali Remy
