Desmond Tutu

In South Africa in 1976, the majority of the black population were not allowed to vote. Black people couldn't even use white facilities. Police beat the black people and often killed them. In 1976 black school kids were unlawfully killed. When Desmond Tutu was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1979, after undergoing successful treatment, joined the South African Prostate Cancer Foundation which was established in 2007. Tutu also taught at Johannesburg Bantu High School and at Munsienville High School in Mogale City. Desmond Tutu is also helping make people more aware about peace, by building The Desmond Tutu Peace Center in Cape Town. The new facility includes Training Programs, Study opportunities, A Peace Museum, Exhibitions and more. If Desmond Tutu was asked the question What is our responsibility to fellow human beings he would answer with not only an answer but a speech that basically says we owe it to each other to make peace with everyone in the world, and for humans to work together to make the world a better place to live in. Desmond Tutu had won the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize, due to all of his efforts in making peace in the world.
