    It is a computer system consisting a process designed to perform one or few dedicated functions Software program developed for a particular hardware architecture & that system which can be used for specific application is an embedded system.

    To make system more compact. To cut down the power consumption. To slash down the price. To enhance the reliability.

    Vacuum tube. Transistor. Field effect transistor. Linear integrated circuits. Digital integrated circuits. 4-bit microprocessor. 8-bit microprocessor.
