Computer
A computer is a machine that performs four basic operations: input, processing, output and storage. These four operations are called the information-processing cycle.

Input
Devices that enable you to enter data into the computer for processing. Examples: mouse and keyboard

Processing
Computers transform data into information. Information is data that have been simplified and organized in a way that people can use. Example: CPU

Output
Computer provides the results of the processing operation in a way that people can understand. Examples: Monitor and Printer

Storage
Save the result of processing to be used again later. Storage devices hold all of the programs and data that the computer system uses. Examples: floppy disk and hard disk
