    Latiff Mohidin was a renowned Malaysian poet, artist and diplomat born in 1938 in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. He received education in Malaysia and Singapore and studied fine arts in Berlin, Germany. Throughout his career he held roles as a poet, civil servant, diplomat and artist. He won numerous prestigious literary awards for his poetry and believed poetry should serve society. One of his most famous poems is "In the Midst of Hardship".

    Born on 20th August 1938 Birthplace was at Seremban, Negeri Sembila. His education- 1.)SM Lenggang 2.)SM Kota Raja 3.)Mercantile Institution Singapore 4.)King George V School 5.)Academy of Fine Arts, Berlin, German. Country he has been before German Apart from being a poet he also do courtier, diplomat, civil servant and working for the king collecting and inventoying. He had won many kind of awards such as Anugerah Karya Sastera, Anugerah Sastera Malaysia since 1972, Anugerah Puisi Putera 1 His nickname was the magical boy with the gift in his hands In the Midst of Hardship is one of his poem. He also believes that poetry serves society. One of his work is being an artist.
