ETS 4U March 2013 Malcolms Katie: A Love Story and Graphic Novel Isabella Valancy Crawfords poem is a sweeping

epic mythology of early settlement of Canada. In pairs or alone, sign up for a section of the long poem to put in Graphic Novel form. Your graphic novel section should be at least 6 panels in length. Include key items from the poem: the axe, the ring, features from the landscape like the timber and rushing rivers, certain flowers, and so on. The characters should fit their descriptions from the poem. Use dialogue from the poem and/or lines from the poem you feel are most significant to your section. Use them in bubbles or in the small section at the bottom or top of each panel to describe the action. Your goal is to create a concise, understandable, coherent version of your section of Malcolms Katie. It should fit smoothly with the sections before and after your section, so be sure to take that into account. The finished graphic novel will be published on the class website.
