Ted Doan Spirit of Innovation Award

The Ted Doan Spirit of Innovation award was created to honor and showcase outstanding innovators in the MidMichigan Region. It is given annually to just one individual who stands out as an example of successful innovation and entrepreneurship. The award is named after Herbert D. Ted Doan, the former President & CEO of The Dow Chemical Company, a thought-leader in Michigans venture capital industry, and one of the visionary founders of the MidMichigan Innovation Center. To win the award a person must be the best example of innovation and entrepreneurship in the MidMichigan Region for that year. They would have to have the following qualities that were exemplified by Ted Doan: Vision, Integrity, Character, and Generosity.
