PAGSANJAN FALLS WAS FUN!!!!

Update- 5 March Dear ParentsI am looking forward to seeing you at our student led conferences on Thursday. Students have been preparing what they would like to share with you; it should be fun and rewarding! This week and next week, we will be having MAP testing in English class; please be sure that your student is well-rested. There is no study preparation required for these tests; they provide a standardized measure of skills in grade 6. Results can be used to assess knowledge, see growth over time, and provide strategies for further achievement. You student will be tested in English class beginning tomorrow. Next week in English: We will finish up presentations for our novel study unit. Final work must be turned in by Wednesday, 6 March for the Parry home base, and Thursday, 7 March for the Freeman home base. We will have a short quiz on the elements of fiction on Monday, March 11th. It has been great to see students so engaged with their novels.

Next week in Social Studies: Completed relocation guides have been saved and will be ready for you to view on Thursday. Students have included a lot of information in their expository writing passages, and are using voice as a tool of persuasion. The Pages software we are using really makes the guides look professional! Next week students will do some reflection on the process, before we begin the new quarter with the theme of DISCOVERY. On another note, I am in the process of upgrading power school, and should be finished by Wednesday. All of the novel study information will be inputted next week. Have an inspiring week; see you Thursday! Kind regards, Meg
