    meet the future requirements. In 1991, entered into a collaborative agreement with an internationally renowned engine research and development organisation. In 1993, Joint venture agreement signed with Cummins Engine Co. Inc. Tata Technologies Limited (TTL) provides engineering and design services to the automotive industry ( 87% stake). TTL acquired Incat International Plc - specialized in engineering and design services and product lifecycle management in the international automotive, aerospace and engineering markets. Have research centers at various locations in the world.

    Engines used in Tata Motors


    Used DI engines for first passenger cars. In 2000

    - Bharat Stage 2 (Euro II) compliant diesel engine launched. - multi-point fuel injection petrol engine launched. In 2005 - Turbo diesel engine launched. In 2007 - Direct Injection Common Rail (DICOR) engine launched. In 2011 - Quadrajet engines are used.

    1998 - 115,000 bookings for Indica registered against full payment

    within a week of launch. 2001 soon Indica V2 becomes India's number one car in its segment and 100,000th Indica wheeled out 2002 - 200,000th Indica rolled out. 500,000th passenger car rolled out. 2011 - Indica eV2 introduced with 25 kmpl mileage
