PASSOVER

ELLIE AND ZOE LISTEN TO JOYCE TELL THE STORY OF PASSOVER

When do you not feel free?

Today we began to investigate the story of Passover by discussing when we dont feel free. We asked the children, "What does it mean to not be free?" Shayna shared that ,Its like a cage and Bella said, You cant do what you want. We thought of times in our lives when we dont feel free and then drew pictures of those times. The children suggested that these pictures should be added to the class Torah to share the meaning of Passover. Then Joyce came for our last storytelling session with her; we will miss hearing her stories! She told us her version of the story of Passover, from the very beginning-when the Jews came to Egypt because there was no food in Canaan all the way to the end-when the Jews had to wander in the wilderness for a very long time. To add to our understanding of Passover, the children decided that next week we should draw pictures of what freedom means to us and put those pictures into our Torah too!
