21.

POTENTIAL FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER DURING THE MARYLAND SCHOOL ASSESSMENT (MSA) ADMINISTRATION

The following testing procedures are to be reviewed for the anticipated inclement weather this week. Principals and School Testing Coordinators (STCs) must adhere to the following test schedule scenarios. Any sessions that cannot be administered according to the schedule below will need to be administered during the make-up window. For testing days that have a 1- or 2-hour delay, testing should continue on that day. The test group may break for lunch only after they have completed a section of the test. Students are not permitted to stop testing for a lunch break during a test section. Should schools be CLOSED on Wednesday, March 6 and OPENED (even with delay) on Thursday, March 7, 2013: Thursday, March 7 will become Day 1 for G3 & G7 Math and G5 & G8 Reading Thursday, March 14 will become Day 2 for G3 & G7 Math and G5 & G8 Reading

Should schools be OPEN (even with delay) on Wednesday, March 6 and CLOSED on Thursday, March 7, 2013: Thursday, March 14 will become Day 2 for G3 & G7 Math and G5 & G8 Reading

Should schools be CLOSED on Wednesday March 6 and CLOSED on Thursday, March 7, 2013: Thursday, March 14 will become Day 1 for G3 & G7 Math and G5 & G8 Reading Friday, March 15 will become Day 2 for G3 & G7 Math and G5 & G8 Reading

STCs are NOT permitted to deviate from the standard administration session timing, test examiner directions, grouping directives, or special education accommodation regulations. Any further guidance from MSDE may result in a change to the schedules above. Principals and STCs will be notified via e-mail regarding any updates or changes in a timely manner.
