Ploieti is a town. It is the county seat of Prahova County and lies in the historical region of Wallachia in Romania.

The city is located 56 km north of Bucharest. The general atmosphere of the place is quiet. I think it should be visited the Clock Museum because is unique in Romania. It was inaugurated in 1963 by teacher Nicholas Simache. People who visit the museum have the opportunity to follow the evolution of the means of measuring time, from the first "watch"-sundials, clocks burners with water or sand, until mechanical clocks "ancient" and modern. But it is worth a visit and Nichita's Memorial House, where people can discover how the house looks a writer, things loved by him and manuscripts. In addition to stadiums "Astra" and "Petrolul", Ploiesti dispose of and other sports facilities and places of leisure: Sports Hall "Olympia" (inaugurated in 1972), Central Park, swimming pools "Vega", the rink or Hippodrome located at the entrance to the city (from Bucharest). Ploiesti Shopping City is the first and largest mall in Prahova county. It has over 100 stores for fashion, cosmetics, decorations, jewelry, gifts, electronics, restaurants, cafes and useful services such as pharmacy, banking, cleaning. I love this city because it isn't so crowded and it's for my hometown. I think it is a city that should be visited by children of my age because it has more museums and memorial houses.
