The Dreams and Goals What I Already Knew/What I Wanted to Know How am I going to get there?

This is the question that fuels my dreams so I can achieve my goals. I am in college and sooner or later I am bound to graduate. This will unfold a new chapter in my life which will bring me closer to the realization of my dreams and fulfillment of my goals. I already knew what my dreams are. I dream of becoming successful in my chosen career path. Someday I will prove to my family and friends that I will make it to the top. I will shout to the whole world, I made it! I needed to know what my real goals in life are. Will I be able to achieve my dreams? What are the different key factors that will guide me towards the achievement of my prized goals? How can I utilize the various motivating factors needed in visualizing the fruits of my dreams and goals? The Story of My Search My search began two weeks ago. I compiled several articles about dreams and goals. But as I went through my research, I found out that it indeed began at a very young age. As an ordinary student in grade school, I already planted some dreams in my young mind. I wanted to be rich, I wanted to have big houses, I wanted to buy new cars. These are some of the material things my young heart desired. As I grow older, I found out it was not that easy. Failures came my way. I almost gave up. But mu passion to continue amidst several problems helped me stood my feet on the ground. I learned the virtue of sacrifice. Oftentimes, my parents are there to guide me not only financial but also moral support as well. They prompt me to go on with what my heart really desires. They shared to me the trait of humility and the never ending quest for what is right morally and spiritually. From time to time, I read several articles that serve as my guidance whenever I feel down and troubled. Indeed, my research for dreams and goals is mostly based on personal experiences. I must set up my goals but foremost I must learn how to dream. A person with no dreams will never realize any goal after all.

Search Results The accomplishment of dreams and goals does not always happen as expected; there must be thorough planning, lined-up objectives, sacrifice, dedication, resources, self-preparedness, timeframe and monitoring of development against the dreams and goals to ensure success of any endeavor. Achieving your dreams and goals depends on several factors: 1. You should have a specific goal. 2. You have to be sure that you really want to achieve your goal. 3. You need to have a clear mental image of your goal. 4. You need a strong desire. 5. You need to disregard and reject doubts and thoughts about failure. 6. Show confidence and faith and persevere until you gain success. When you visualize and affirm your goals, you gain much more than just programming your mind passively with subliminal messages. The attention, intention and energy you channel toward visualizing and affirming, develop in your inner strength, concentration, willpower and self-discipline. You actively develop your inner powers. One of the advantages of visualization and affirmations is that you can use them wherever you are, at any time, without the necessity of any external instruments. All you need is your mind. Success appears in various ways, sometimes in a miraculous way, sometimes in an ordinary way, and sometimes through an opportunity that appears. A door opens, but you have to get in and take advantage of the opportunity. So what is the difference between a Dream and a Goal? A dream is your long-term desire and you shouldnt be able to achieve it in a flash. If you can achieve your desire in a week, a month, three months or even six months, your dream is too small and you need to crave for bigger things. Dreams are the desires that will drive you to achieve your goals and provide you with the motivation to complete all the tasks that youll need to complete. Your dreams should be things that get you excited yet perhaps infuse some fear and get you to find answers to your own questions like, "How am I going to get there?" Remember this, if your dream is truly worthy, you would do anything to achieve it, no matter what!

A goal on the other hand is a stepping stone that leads you towards your dreams. A goal is something you can achieve in a short period of time...like in an hour, days or even weeks. So set purpose goals that will help you get closer to your dreams. Your goals should not take years to achieve. If you have one perhaps you need to portion your goal down to smaller tasks so you can achieve your goals sooner. A long term goal will more than likely discourage you from achieving your result as it keeps dragging on to the point where you start to self sabotage with your head chatter telling yourself I am not getting anywhere, this goal is too hard, too much work. So what do you do? You give up and start working on other things beside your goals!!! In short, a dream is a HUGE thing that takes time to achieve whereas a goal is easier to manage and is something you can get it done in a short period of time. Goals are like a way patting yourself on the back for doing things to move your life forward in the right direction. My Growth As A Researcher There is always a purpose for ones own existence. Dreams and goals will develop according to the desire of every people. Take advantage of those dreams to succeed in life as they are the driving force towards success. I actually learned a lot from this research. Foremost, I learned to setup my dreams in life and how can I utilize the time and strength so I can achieve my goals. Consequently, I must consult several people as well as published written works so I will be guided properly. Most of all, this research paper made me a better person. I have learned the virtue of sacrifice, humility, resourcefulness, acceptance, ambition, diligence, enthusiasm and faith.
