MATH: 3rd Grade - UNIT 8: Beginning/Developing Skills -I can compare/order fractions. -I can convert between mixed numbers and fractions. -I can identify fractions on a number line. -I can find equivalent fractions. -I can solve fraction number stories -I can identify fraction parts of a set and a region. 4th Grade: -I can name equivalent fractions. -I can rename a fraction as a decimal. -I can rename a fraction. -SCIENCE: -I will learn about the screw and how it is a modified incline plane. -I can name the 6 simple machines. -I can explain the tradeoff when using a screw. -I can work cooperatively with a partner. SOCIAL STUDIES: -I understand location, economics, beliefs and ways of living after researching a tribe. -I learn about the Native Americans from many communities. -I can research using different resources.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

WRITING: -I can discuss the 6 + 1 Traits, specifically Voice. -I can write a make believe letter to a pen pal including facts researched about a Native American tribe. -I can write a script about the life of a famous American.
