ED 337
Performance Task Assessment
Subject: 7th Grade Spanish
Clear Purpose: This assessment is both formative and summative in
nature, in order for the teacher and the students to evaluate the
students ability to apply learned vocabulary and grammar into their
own personal video project. The students have already been studying
a substantial amount of vocabulary and grammar from previous
chapters. They will now have the opportunity to apply these aspects
from class into their own video creation that implies them creating
detailed dialogues. This assessment will include the involvement of
basic sentence structures and pronunciation of the spoken language.
They will be working on their own dialogues, but will be given the
opportunity to peer revise in small groups. Ultimately, they will be
turning these dialogues into short video presentations. There are
rubrics that they can refer to as they are creating their pieces of work.
Standards/Benchmarks:
1.2.M.R.a-Demonstrate understanding of written classroom language in
the target language on familiar topics.
1.3.N.S.c- Record materials in the target language, such as a puppet
show, fashion show, or weather report.
1.3.M.S.d- Produce a short original target language video/DVD
recording, such as a segment of a newscast, talk show, or game show.
1.3.M.W.b- Create original compositions or journal entries in the target
language.
