    Justification for opting Cadence ASIC tool for Electronic Design

    As Integrated Circuit (IC) design technologies change and evolve significantly for sub 45nm geometries, it is essential that students be familiar with tools that are advanced to meet these challenges. Final year Students can use this tool to get real industry like experience on complete IC design flow, which will enhance their placement prospects in the core companies in the Semiconductor industry. More than 90% of the semiconductor IC vendors like Intel, Texas, National, Analog Devices, Xilinx use Cadence tools, which is the only EDA platform that supports Analog, Digital, Mixed signal IC design flows. It is the only tool vendor who gives access to Foundary file through TSMC. They also conduct free workshop and gives perpetual license for Universities. Hence procuring the Cadence tool for ASIC design is looked upon as the need of the hour.
