Aakash Coordinator at each center is expected to do the following:

Computer Lab facility should be made available for the participants, as there will be hands on sessions on all four days. Internet connectivity for each of the terminals during the workshop. In case of shortage of Computers, participants may be allowed to carry their own laptops which they can use during the sessions. Wi-fi access should be made available in the workshop venue. Aakash Coordinators are required to make arrangements to collect the Aakash Tablets, if issued to your teaching faculty, for the Aakash quiz sessions on all the four days. These tablets are required to test the new version of Clicker application. This is not mandatory, as some teachers may refuse to lend their tablets to the college. You will be provided a link, where you need to update the count of working Aakash tablets at your center. (Do not count the damaged/non working tablets) The Aakash clicker quiz will be conducted twice every day immediately after each tea break during the Android Workshop. These quizzes are for testing purposes only. Please distribute fully charged and working Aakash tablets during the Tea break to the participants. Kindly make sure that all the participants get some hands on experience of Aakash Tablet.

Setup requirements for Android Workshop


System Requirements: Minimum Hardware requirements:
1. At least a dual core processor 2. At least 1 GB RAM

Software requirements:
1. At least JDK 6 or above 2. Eclipse + ADT plug-in 3. Android SDK Tools 4. O.S (Windows XP or UBUNTU)

Step 1: Download JDK 6 or above from given link

Step 3: Download the SDK ADT bundle for WINDOWS or UBUNTU From given link: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html Further information about installation will be given as a hands-on session during the Android workshop.
