    An adjective is a word used to describe a noun. There are several types of adjectives including adjectives of quality which describe kind (e.g. large, small), adjectives of quantity which describe amount (e.g. some, little), adjectives of number which describe how many (e.g. two, seven), demonstrative adjectives which indicate which (e.g. this, that), and interrogative adjectives used to ask questions about nouns (e.g. what, which).
