Dont let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4.12
This week will be a bit off routine because of music practice. Please note that the Bible reading that was assigned in January will be due after our spring break. Your child has also been assigned the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence as a memory project. This is due April 23, and will be an oral presentation in front of the class. Please make sure your child works on this on a consistent basis. We are still collecting egg shells for our science explorations and if your child has not brought in corn starch or potato starch (katakuriko) and a bowl, please make sure they bring it this week.

ART NOTICE Sakura art contest entries are due to Mrs. Seely by this FRIDAY.

Bible Memory Matt. 6.19-22

Your child has a date for the oral presentation of his/her project. We have gone over the expectations and they have a rubric to help guide them in this process. Please make sure that your childs main focus in this is the information they give to the audience. The visuals they use, (poster, slide presentation, performance, etc.), are enhancements rather than the focus. If possible, it would be great if you could attend on the day your 5th grader presents. It has been a long process for them and you can be very proud of the hard work they have done.
