Saint Francis of Assisi

INTRODUCTION Saint Francis was only 45 years old when he died. He lived in Assisi Umbria, Italy since he was born. His family took care of him and they made sure he had fine well clothes they played with him and had Good times. Saint Francis was enlisted in another military expedition, to Apulia. At night Francis went To sleep and he had a dream that God called him to his service. After that Francis went back to Assisi and Started to care for the sick, assisted the poor, and to reform abuse. 1ST BODY PARAGRAPH Saint Francis was known for Parton saint of animals, Merchants and Ecology. This means when Francis was making a trip To Spoleto valley near the town of Bevagna. Francis spotted a great Number of birds, Francis got off the car and started cashing after them the birds didnt move, when Francis got to them he said to them stay here and let me preach the word of God, so they stayed and Listen. That is how Saint Francis is a Parton saint of animals. Why this action was considered Incredible. Because when Saint Francis ran up to the birds they didnt fly Away. Then the other part is That Francis told them to please stay there so he could spread the Word of God to them they stayed and didnt fly. 2nd BODY PARAGRAPH Saint Francis was a patron of helping the poor ECT. Saint Francis loved helping people struggling with poverty and illness, he experienced both for many Years Francis prayed that God perform miracles through him to him to help people. Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of you peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen 3rd BODY PARAGRAPH I chose this saint because he had the love for animals. He shows love and Compassion towards animals, and people the other thing is that he loved to pray to God. By being a vet To take care of the animals. Using your money to help the people that are in need. Because he had to Sacrifice everything that was given to him by his parents to serve GOD. By working with animals And helping people. CONCLUSION He died on October 3, 1226. When God called on him in his dream when he was asleep. There is a lot like God gave him the gift to talk to the animals and to preach to them. And to care for the Sick. Because he did all of these miracles like talking to the animals of all of these other stuff for what he Did.
