FACILITY LAYOUT:

Warm up lines- Students will stay in their lines and first person (line leader) will perform an exercise 10 times then rotate to the back of the line.
Spot Stop: Students will practice trapping the ball. They will be in groups of two or three and take turns traveling with the ball and stopping the ball. There will be cones that they must travel around and poly spots that they must stop the ball at. Trash Kick upStudents will practice kicking the ball low. The ball must stay on the ground. Students will be divided into two groups. No hands are to be used, they must trap or stop the ball with the foot and then kick the ball to the other side of the gym. The object of the game is to end up with the least amount of trash (balls) on your side of the gym.

*** Students that are hurt and are unable to participate will help keep score.*** OBJECTIVES: Students will learn the importance of trapping the ball through participating in the activities. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate and strategize the game with teamwork and participation. Students will understand the concept of kicking through a verbal review and safety of the sport, a verbal review will take place at the end of class.

EQUIPMENT: Foam Balls 10 cones 15 poly dots Music

TEACHING POINTS: -To remember to only use the feet, hands are off limits. -When kicking the ball, the ball must stay on the ground. -Travel with the ball, use both inside and outside of the foot.
