    *catatan 1. program sapcar harus ada dalam satu folder dengan file yg akan di extract 2. jika sudah dalam satu folder (sapcar dan file yg akan di extract) masuk ke command prompt 3. masuk ke direktori folder berada 4. jalankan perintah SAPCAR xvf *.SAR 5. file telah di extract

    The SAP program 'sapcar.exe' is SAP's own compression tool. The old program used to be called 'car' and the newer tool is called 'sapcar.exe'. There is no real difference between a 'car' and 'sar' the files are decompressed with the following syntax: sapcar -xfv <file name>.car sapcar -xvf <file name>.sar This syntax is explained in many sap notes, I have found the help attached to the sapcar.exe program very helpfull.     Snowy replied Jan 16, 2009 car = Compresses archive file sar= SAP archive file they are virtually the same, but format is different x = eXtract v = Verbose f = File (means a filename will be supploed) c = create (to create a SAR or CAR file) these options are really similar of the Unix TAR command.
