    Ben Kwedar 3/25/2013 CI 402 On Teaching Personal Attacks 1.

    I think it would be of vital importance for me to teach students what exactly a personal attack is, and why it does not belong in my classroom. To do this, I would hand out a transcript of a presidential debate while showing the clip on the projection screen. This past debate would show one candidate using personal attacks, while the other candidate would stick to debating the issues at hand. This could even be from a past presidential debate. Then I would have a class wide discussion on why personal attacks are not only offensive, but also how they can get in the way of higher level problem solving
