Dear St.

Dennis Friends, I was reflecting on the wonderful Mass and reception you hosted on my behalf this past weekend. In my 25 years at St. Dennis, I have been touched countless times by your kindness, love and generosity. This past weekend was an evening I will cherish always. I have been blessed to be part of this loving, supportive community, and my teaching years have brought me countless hours of joy. I sincerely appreciate my students, their families, my colleagues and staff and all the parishioners for honoring me in this special way. I am truly blessed. Much Love, Mrs. Barbara Geil

SACRAMENTS Dear Family, Happy Easter! Happy Resurrection Day! All of earth and heaven rejoice today because Jesus Christ our brother and savior is risen from the dead. This incredible news is as alive today as it was 2,000 years ago! With the Resurrection comes Gods power to us in the form of the Holy Spirit. With expectant faith in the resurrection and the Holy Spirit, the darkness of our lives whether it be stress, fears, losses, uncertainty, grief, illness and separation, can be lifted and healed by the awesome light that comes from the empty tomb. I know for some of you, this might just seem like religious words, but I believe in the depth of my heart that your life can be transformed. Pause and pray right now for Jesus who is resurrected to save you, heal you and transform your life. Trust and have faith in Jesus who gave everything, even His life, that you might have everything and eternal life. Alleluia! Alleluia! He is Risen! In the Lords Love, Fr. Therefore Easter is not simply one feast among others, but the Feast of feasts, the Solemnity of solemnities, just as the Eucharist is the Sacrament of sacraments (the Great Sacrament). St. Athanasius calls Easter the Great Sunday and the Eastern Churches call Holy Week the Great Week. The mystery of the Resurrection, in which Christ crushed death, permeates with its powerful energy our old time, until all is subjected to him.
St. Dennis Bread of Life & Outreach: Thank you for your especially generous contributions of gift cards, certificates and donations to the Bread of Life Fund during this Lenten season. You have made a difference in the lives of dozens of families we have been able to assist. Thank you and God bless you are the responses that may not reach your ears but are sincerely expressed over and over. Hunger and lifes challenges know no season; almsgiving is always welcome.

He saw and he believed. They have done the running for us. These witnesses who followed Christ, rose before dawn, felt fear at the tomb, ran to get others, ran back, and probably breathless, peered in and then walked into the tomb. It is not what they saw, but what they did not see that gave them great hope; that makes this day glorious for us.
