A World of STEM

Vision: To create a space once a year where STEM students and families can come together and be exposed to different cultures from around the world through activities, food, music and visual. Some examples include abacus math, origami, name writing in Chinese, etc. Several families have already offered the following cultural experiences: Kenya, Persia and Puerto Rico. What We Need from our Teachers: 1. Make contact with your classroom parents whom you think would be willing to coordinate a classroom/grade table at the event.
2.

Then, have them contact us directly at pro.stemschool@gmail.com

What We Need from the Classroom Parent Volunteer: 1. Decide on a cultural theme for the event. 2. Coordinate with the classroom parents to plan the activity for the table. Examples: art project, music experience, visual display, etc. 3. During the evening of the event, have different parents from the class/grade be at the table to run the activity. What PROSTEM will Provide: 1. Support to all classroom parent volunteers at every stage from planning to the day of the event.

2. Overall plan and design for the evening and coordinating all classroom parents and tables.
