This specification applies to straight round seamless pipes made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) intended for used to install 220KV underground cables and optical fiber cables in the Tao an Nha Be 220KV Underground Cables Project II. STANDARDS OF MANUFACTURE AND TEST : DIN 8074: High - density polyethylene (PE-HD) pipes - Dimensions. DIN 8075: High - density polyethylene (PE-HD) pipes - General quality requirements. Testing. III. DESCRIPTIONS :

The pipe shall be made of high density polyethylene, homogeneous throughout and free from visible cracks, holes, or other defects. The pipes with an outside diameter of 63mm are to be supplied in coils with the pipe length : .m. Limit deviations for pipe length: 0; +1% - The pipes with an outside diameter of 280mm are to be supplied with the pipe length of 6m. Limit deviations for pipe length: 10 mm. - Marking : Pipes shall be marked as follows: + Manufacturers trade mark + Material (moulding material) + DIN number + Pressure rating + Outside diameter + Wall thickness + Date of manufacture The marking shall be applied at intervals of 1m. IV. TESTING REQUIREMENTS : The pipes shall be tested as required in DIN 8075. 1/ Surface finish.
