    The 4th grade students have been working hard in their Spanish and English reading lessons, completing reading 24 and moving closer to their goal of "reading" their way to Spain. They have also been learning past tenses and subject-verb agreement in Spanish. In social studies, the students have begun learning about the Northeast region of the United States, studying states, economies, and the upcoming Independence War, with daily quizzes to reinforce the material. They have also started a final project on the Northeast region.

    Dear parents

    The fourth graders have been working hard on:

    Lectura
    We have already done with our reading number twenty-four. We have done with: Yipi yei!, Una ciudad en auge, Helado de chocolate y El regalo de Alejandro. We are in our way to Spain in the proyect Read and Walk to Spain. We continue reading in Spanish and English in order to obtain footprints. In the verbs and grammar station, the difficulty of the contents is increasing week by week. We have started we the past tenses, and also we are working on concordance (plural-singular, and malefemanle) between names and articles. Every Friday we have a test of the weekly reading. Students can listen the readings from this blog: http://spanisholg.blogspot.com/

    Social studies
    We have started probably the most difficult region: Northeast. Students are already studying the states and locating them in a map. We have covered the economy concepts, and soon we will start learning about the Independence War. Everyday, as happened with the previous lessons, we are taking a quiz about the states. Also we have started working in the final project of the region.
