Dear Tamir Skotalski, My name is Pedro Rodriguez and I am in tenth grade at Christopher Columbus High School.

My school is a great Catholic school offering an excellent education to its students. Also, my high school has a great athletic program, and has many extracurricular activities and clubs. I truly look forward to working with you and hope we have a great experience together! My family includes myself, my mother Margaret, my father Pedro, my brother Tony, and my sister Maggie. We all live in the same house except for my brother Tony who is away at the University of Florida studying medicine. My mother works as a lawyer and my father as a distributor. Also, my sister is in 7th grade at Gulliver Academy and plays soccer and volleyball there. My hobbies and extracurricular activities include playing sports and participating in clubs like the Columbus Cangrejos and Pre-Med. In the Cangrejos we raise money for La Liga Contra el Cancer, and in Pre-Med we learn about important things in the medical field. I am currently part of the JV football team at Columbus. My position on the team is defensive tackle. One hobby I really enjoy is playing ping-pong with my cousins. I enjoy listening to hip-hop and rap music, and even pop and dance. My favorite artists are Dave Matthews Band and Maroon 5. Some sports I enjoy playing and watching include football, basketball, and baseball. A few activities I enjoy partaking in include playing cards, board games, and video games. My favorite teams include the Miami Heat and the Miami Marlins. My plans and dreams for the future include playing football at my dream school which is Princeton University located in New Jersey. Another plan or dream I have for the future is to become medical doctor after college. My brother was truly my inspiration for this goal as well as my love for science and mathematics.
