Duke of Edinburgh Instructions for writing your report for Qualifying Expeditions 1.

Outline where you went and the dates - be specific and use your route card 2. Discuss the purpose of your tramp (not to pass my qualifying expo!) but something like to explore the area around the dam or to discover your own ability at leading etc. 3. Talk about your campsite(s) name(s), where it was, what the facilities were like, whether you would you use it again 4. Under the following headings discuss: a) Training you have had to prepare you b) Safety precautions you took like escape routes c) First Aid d) Environmental care e) Clothing f) Equipment g) Menu h) Water care 5. Talk about your group who was a good leader and why? How did you go at leading? What was the best thing about your group? Were there any problems discuss what they were and how you overcame them. 6. Discuss what you have learnt by doing the expeditions what would you do differently next time? 7. Include a copy of your map and route card 8. If you have any photos include them too Preferably we would like your report typed and printed. Staple it together or put in a file. It should be a minimum of 1 A4 page and no more than about 3 A4 pages. It is due to Mrs Stone along with your record book for signing.
