Title I Technology 2013 Summer Courses
The following is a list of all Title I Technology courses that will be offered this summer. Please take note that some dates are grade level specific when registering. A list of teachers will be sent to elementary principals to verify grade level assignment next year. Also, if you are transferring to a school that is not Title I for the 2013-2014 school year, you are NOT eligible for the training this summer. Registration will go live Monday, April 15th at 4pm.
Intermediate Promethean
This course will allow participants to enhance flipcharts with various forms of media and tools available through ActivInspire. Familiarity with basic functions of the software is necessary, in order to allow for our exploration of more advanced features. Time will be provided for you to create a flipchart utilizing skills learned in this course. This sample will be turned in to complete the class and be eligible for the stipend($100). The following topics are a sample of what will be covered during this session:
Inserting Media Files Using Desktop Tools Manipulating the Camera Tool Adding Sound Files Utilizing Desktop Annotation Page Turn Effects
Utilizing the Screen & Sound Recorder Customizing the Sidebar Resetting Pages Hidden Answers & Slide Reveals Color Reveals Setting Timers to Advance Flipcharts
*There are two sessions available for Intermediate Promethean Training: June 5th (8-3pm) or June 6th (8-3pm).
Computer Skills
This course will guide participants in building basic computer skills. We will cover some of the major functions with the programs in the Microsoft Suite. We will also work on toggling between windows/programs, sending emails with attachments, utilizing SkyDrive, file searches and more. This course is open to any certified and classified instructional staff within Title I schools. Training date: June 17th from 8-3.
After Ive had time to set up the groups from registration, you will receive an email asking you to join a SkyDrive group for the training you are attending. This is how you will submit artifacts to be eligible for your stipend. All participants are eligible for the $100 stipend and will receive an 8gig jump drive loaded with resources relative to the training.
