Client: Ben & Jerrys Writer: Bryce Johnston Length: 60 Seconds Treatment for: Half Baked This spot plays on the name of the Ben and Jerrys flavor Half Baked. The kids sitting on the couch appear to be stoned out of their minds, but in reality they are just enjoying a pint of Ben and Jerrys. The approach is comedic, with the father eventually joining the two kids on the couch to get baked. This has the potential to start a campaign with each different flavor having a spot centered around that flavor. A Attention is grabbed when the two kids sitting on the couch are acting stoned, which may seem like a regular drug awareness commercial. Also, some of the audience can relate. I Interest is kept when the dad opens the door to see the two teens in the haze, and are waiting to see his reaction and what will happen. D Desire is the Ben and Jerrys label, as well as the chilled out mode the kids are in when enjoying the ice cream. A The call to action is when the announcer is talking over the image, and the please enjoy responsibly.
