Hello Ladies, As the event draws nearer, lets set up a meeting to discuss the logistics. Tina, you may not be familiar with the event, so here is a quick snapshot: Last quarter we had a young lady move into the Village with Autism. She struggled deeply to find structure and safety during her time with us and so we sought the help of the local Regional Center as well as the CA Mentor program. She was eventually placed elsewhere that better suited her needs and in the process, Davinah and I made some really neat connections. The Regional Center supports many with diagnosed disabilities and strives to accommodate peoples needs in various ways. One of the programs they facilitate is for those children who have parents who are adults with Autism. Davinah and I had the opportunity to meet with this group of young people and talk to them about the opportunity of higher education. As a follow up to that meeting, they will be visiting us for a campus tour in August. Being that both you and Davinah are CPP alumna, I thought it would be best for the two of you to spear head the tour. Your thoughts? I will print maps, make packets of hand outs for everyone, and see if we can give them Village water bottles : ) Am I missing anything?
