Course Title: PowerEdge M1000e Administration and Configuration The Partner Technical Training PowerEdge M1000e Administration and Configuration course provides technical professionals with an overview of the Dell PowerEdge M1000e Blade Enclosure and associated M-Series blade server and I/O modules. The course guides you through the installation and setup of the blade servers and I/O modules in the M1000e enclosure. Using the management GUI you will engage in a series of hands-on exercises that demonstrate the functionality and capabilities of the CMC, iDRAC, and iKVM modules. Using the skills that you learn working with the PowerEdge M1000e will be better equip you to help customers design the most efficient data center. Course objectives: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to: List and detail the key characteristics and capabilities of the PowerEdge M1000e Blade Server. Identify where the M1000e fits within the enterprise data center and outline the advantages of implementing an M1000e solution. List PowerEdge M1000e hardware components and describe the functionality and features of each module type. Use the management fabric to initialize and setup and the M1000e blade server chassis. Use remote management to configure and manage the M-series server and switch blades. Describe M1000e chassis mid-plane fabric interconnect architecture. Perform a firmware upgrade on the CMC and iDRAC modules. Describe the M1000e software components.

Who Should Attend: The PowerEdge M1000e Administration and Configuration course is targeted towards Dell Channel Partner technical SEs and any personnel involved with the sale, design, and implementation of the PowerEdge M1000e blade server. Prerequisites: The following prerequisite knowledge is required before attending this course. Servers and server related-hardware Local Area Network Protocols Gigabit Ethernet Internet Protocols Network Management Storage Area Networks and related protocols iSCSI, SCSI, etc.
