The Water Cycle

The water cycle is the movement of water throughout the world.Another name for the water cycle the hydrologic cycle. the water cycle has a number of stages. the first stage is Evaporation. Evaporation Evaporation is the first stage of the water cycle it is also when the sun heats up the surface of the ocean and turns the liquid into a gas called water vapour. Evaporation dosent only happen in the ocean it also happens in rivers streams and puddles. Condensation The next stage is Condensation [how clouds are formed.] When water vapor cools down it turns back into a liquid and forms a cloud. Precipitation Precipitation is the third stage. It is when the water in the clouds get too heavy and then it falls down as rain, snow, hail and sleet. Transpiration Transpiration is the fourth and final stage of the water cycle. It is when trees and plants give of water, a bit like leaf sweat. The water cycle is a very important process without it we wouldn't get rain to farms and houses and the trees would die so we wouldnt be able to breathe.
