Media Advisory: Global Health Briefing Book Launched


WHAT: Launch of Global Health Briefing Book on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. EDT Leading international NGOs lay out their policy guidelines in a global health briefing book, which will be launched Monday, April 8 on Capitol Hill. Fifteen different briefs provide a quick summary of various global health issues, including: HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Maternal and Child Health, Millennium Development Goals and Post-2015, Neglected Tropical Diseases, Family Planning and Reproductive Health, Health in Humanitarian Response, Health Research and Development, Health Systems Strengthening, Non-Communicable Diseases, Nutrition, Tuberculosis, Vaccination, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. Speakers will outline the progress that has been made on these issues, look at what remains to be done, and present their recommendations on global health.
